Liberty Bell Replica
In 1950, the foundry was selected to provide 55 full-size Liberty Bell replica’s – one for each U.S. State in addition to US Territories. During the time of the preparation for the casting in 1950, foundry technicians were given unparalleled access to the original Liberty Bell to make as authentic a replica as possible. While the replica’s do show the crack, they are cosmetic only!
The full-size replica is 46 ½” in diameter and weighs 2,080 pounds. These Liberty Bell replicas ring out musical note F and are an outstanding symbol of Freedom that is particularly dear to the United States.
The words inscribed on the Liberty Bell are: “Proclaim Liberty throughout all the Land unto all the Inhabitants Thereof”; these words are from the Old Testament, the book of Leviticus, Chapter 25, verse 10.
